Embedded Questions

Hi, guys! It's midnight now. However, I'm still working in front of my studying desk. I'll attend my LIA class this afternoon. And you know what? I'll have Periodic Test I today. Therefore, I take a review about lessons I have learnt in LIA. The latest one is about embedded question.

So, in order to understand it more, I want to share it to you. Hopefully it'll be beneficial too to you.

EMBEDDED QUESTIONS

An embedded question is a question that is found in another sentence. It uses the order of a statement, not a question.

Here are the examples.

  1. Using Wh-Questions
    • Can you tell me why you quit your job?
    • May I know what your strengths are?

  2. Using Yes/No Questions
    • Tell me if/whether you are interested in woking part-time.
    • Colud you tell me if/whether you live near here?

Hmm. That's what I meant by embedded questions. Do you get it? I hope yes.

Thank's for your visit, guys!
